The Progression Of Gall Bladder Dysfunction/Disease

It has been speculated that 70% of the population over the age of 70 within the United States will experience gallstones. Even more remarkable is that gall stones are estimated to take on average 8 to 13 years to become clinically obvious. The average age of those seeking Massage Therapy is in the demographic of 35 -70, exactly the age range in which the gall bladder tends to become dysfunctional. This organ’s progression into dysfunction is quite often at the root of many chronic somatic complaints. Your clients will thank you for having taken this course.
Participants will leave with a more comprehensive understanding of how the human body really works.
Content of this Workshop:
■ How to interview a client with chronic symptoms will be modeled & discussed.
■ Somatic markers will be clearly described for when Referral to a Physician is indicated.
■ A thorough Assessment Sequence will be demonstrated & practiced.
■ The Anatomy & Physiology of the Gastrointestinal Tract & Venous & Lymphatic return systems will be reviewed.
■ Techniques will be presented & practiced to assist venous & lymphatic drainage & to enhance neurological outflow & balancing.
■ The established Referred Pain Patterns associated with the gall bladder, liver & pancreas will be identified.
■ The Implications of how Gall Bladder Dysfunction may participate in the progressions of diabetes, pancreatitis & small & large bowel chronic problems will be discussed.
■ How Our Bodies do Reflect our Consciousness will be explored.

Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is an elegant approach to bodywork that will assist you to mobilize the joints within the human body. Remember all the clients who have come to your table with muscular splinting and spasm and the effort it took to release them. Those soft tissues were protecting an adjacent joint. Mobilize the affected joint and the reason for the spasm & splinting is significantly reduced. MET provides you as a practitioner with a time proven approach that will reduce the wear & tear on your hands and wrists. Participants will leave the workshop with an anatomical understanding of the biomechanics of the axial spine and pelvis.
